Thanks for the memories…
Here at Black Cat Comics in rockin’ Milpitas it’s time to say goodbye. With tears in our eyes and gratitude in our hearts, we look back on 19 years of fun, friendship, and four-color fantasy. Back in 2002, a couple of kittens who loved Comicbooks took over a neighborhood Comicbook Store hoping to create a place where fans of the four-color funnybooks could meet, share their passion for Comics, and have fun doing it. They wanted to have a place where people could leave the trials and tribulations of the world, and escape into a completely different Universe. Looking back on all the New Comics Wednesdays, Free Comic Book Days, Halloween Spooktaculars, and Rockin’ Milpitas Pre-Comic-Con Comic-Cons, we think we succeeded. Whether in the shop, at a convention, in our videos, or in this nerdy newsletter, we hope we were able to encourage and enlarge your love of Comics, we hope we were able to introduce you to a new friend, and we hope we were able to help you get back up if something got you down. We tried to do those things for each and every person we met. We know that sometimes we fell short, but we like to think we succeeded much more often. We’ve sold over a million Comicbooks, but it was never about making money, it was always about making friends, and the thousands of friends we’ve made over the years make us feel like we achieved our goal. This chapter comes to a close, but in Comics, it’s never the end! You can follow us to our next adventure at Black Cat Publishing, where Truth is Scarier Than Fiction! The next issue of our very own Comicbook, Black Cat Chronicles, will be out in a few weeks! Thank You for 19 years, Cats and Kittens! Excelsior!
